How to apply for free governments grants

Non-Profit Organizations," nonfederal entities that receive financial assistance of $300,000 or more in Federal awards will have a single or a program-specific audit conducted for that year. Nonfederal entities that expend less than $300,000 a year in Federal awards are exempt from Federal audit requirements for that year, except as noted in Circular No. A-133. These audits are due to the cognizant Federal agency not later than 9 months after the end of the grantee's fiscal year. Records: Financial records, supporting documents, statistical records, and all other records pertinent to a grant shall be retained for a period of at least 3 years after the grant has been closed or until an audit has been conducted that does not show any questionable costs. FINANCIAL INFORMATION: Account Identification: 15-0401-0-1-754. Obligations: (Grants) FY 99 $254,599; FY 00 est $15,745,401; and FY 01 est $0. Range and Average of Financial Assistance: Three funding levels will be provided to 157 of the largest metropolitan jurisdictions: the top 50 jurisdictions will receive $300,000; the middle 50 jurisdictions will receive $200,000; and the remaining 57 jurisdictions will receive $100,000. PROGAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS: It is expected that funding will enable OJP to provide equipment to 392 targeted urban jurisdictions to enhance the capability of municipal fire and emergency service responders for incidents of domestic terrorism
