These scholarships are awarded with an obligation to serve in an area of the country designated a Health Professional Shortage Area, Money can be used to support a student completing a degree. Students apply to the Financial Aid office of their school and must submit information on their parents income, spouse s income, regardless of the student s taxable status, and must be of exceptional financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office.
