Our projects emphasize the relationship between the arts and broader social and diplomacy issues. We seek organizations that have a disciplinary expertise in the arts as well as broad outreach and networking capabilities With American artists. APPLICATION AND AWARD PROCESS: Pre-application Coordination: Not applicable. Application Procedure: For renewals of projects such as those conducted by the American Association of Museums and American Dance Festival a letter of solicitation is used. For open competitions, the request for proposals is published in the Federal Register. Award Procedure: Funding decisions are at the discretion of the USIA Associate Director for Educational And Cultural Affairs and are based on the advice of a panel of USIA reviewers and various USIA officers.
