Telephone: 1(800) 634- 0245 or (202) 205-6762. 555 SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER Current Year: Grants: $90,296,000 Loans: $0,000 Other: $0,000 Total: $90,296,000 OBJECTIVES: To provide management counseling, training, and technical assistance to the small business community through Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs). ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: (a) Local (includes State-designated Indian Tribes, excludes institutions of higher education and hospitals); (b) Public nonprofit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals); (c) Private non-profit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education and hospitals); APPLICATION AND AWARD PROCESS: Application Procedure: All eligible entities within a State interested in establishing an SBDC should coordinate with each other in order to develop a proposal for a statewide SBDC service plan. This program is subject to the provisions of 13 CFR 143 (for State and local governments) and A-i 10 (for nonprofit organizations). The proposal should be submitted to the local SBA District Office, listed in Appendix IV of the Catalog.
